Sherbrooke Forest, Dandenong Ranges
Wet sclerophyll forest with Mountain Ash canopy, the tallest flowering plants in the world, and an assortment of ancient ferns that always fascinate me, like a window into a prehistoric past. Lots of noisy Sulphur-crested Cockatoos. The forest is well-known for its Lyrebird population and I had a close encounter with one, but unfortunately no photo.
