Flash floods in the Southern Arava

A major rain event brings flash floods across the entire southern Arava desert, with huge amounts of water flowing for a brief time in the wadis and canyons. The entire yearly average of rainfall and more fell in some places in just a couple of hours. And afterwards, when the water recedes, the land is left with the promise of new life that will emerge over the next few weeks. There is nothing like seeing water flowing in the desert.
